Why Blog
After all, I am a graphic designer and a photography enthusiast. I admire colors, harmony, and beautiful images. I believe that “one picture is worth ten thousand words,” and, quite honestly, I usually prefer to communicate with pictures.

1. I like to write.
No need to explain that one.
2. I’m busy…
As a result, many ideas—some of them worth keeping—disappear somewhere in the chaos of my hectic days. By writing them down, I hope to catch at least some of them before they disappear for good.
3. Search engines still like keywords.
Online image recognition has advanced tremendously, but the mighty search engines still appreciate a good supply of keywords for optimization. A website loaded with nothing but pictures (which, as a graphic designer, I would obviously like to have) wouldn’t meet those requirements.
4. I represent a generation.
Somewhere between Baby Boomers and Generation X, I recently started qualifying as a senior… (When did that happen?!) Toughened by childhoods with no electronics and very little supervision (remember the “latchkey” children?), my generation has weathered shifting social norms, constant demands to learn new technology, and at least one market crash. We’ve learned that real estate does not gain value the way it used to, and that pension plans are now a luxury available to the lucky few. Now, sandwiched between slowly maturing children and quickly aging parents, many of us have to consider working well into our 70s just to protect our savings—and our dignity—in retirement.
With great sympathy for this age group, I hope to include a few Golden Age Survival Tips in my memos.
SO, WHY DO I WRITE A BLOG?
Well… there are a few reasons.
5. Yes, I would like to make some money from this.
As Frank Lloyd Wright said, “Art for art’s sake is the philosophy of the well-fed.” So yes, I will try to monetize this site and bring home some “bacon.” For that reason, I also work on this blog to post related Affiliate Links and Sponsored Posts. If you are curious about what they are, please check my DISCLOSURE page. And if you are interested in joining my efforts, please let me know.
6. Sometimes I like to invent fairy tales.
Especially fairy tales about the hundreds of Dwarfs you can find in the city of Wrocław.
