A Dwarf Called Luminator

In Wrocław, a city in Poland, humans coexist with dwarfs. The Polish word for a dwarf is “krasnal”.  Krasnal Luminator is my favorite.

He resides away from the popular tourist routes, on the premises of a human company called Tauron®. They deliver energy to the region. Luminator works there diligently to make sure that not just the humans, but also all the dwarfs  have access to electricity and gas.

But if you get to know him better, you’ll see that he does way more than that. Dwarfs are very old-school, and reluctantly consider any innovations or progress. Not him! Luminator is very open-minded, and highly knowledgeable about the technology world. To stay up to date, he gathers tirelessly all techie news and tips on his little laptop. He uses sunshine throughout the day and turns on his little lamp to continue working after the sun goes down.

And whenever possible he shares all he learned with other dwarfs.

Nobody knows when he sleeps. No one ever saw him to leave his little post and rest. But rumor has it every so often he does…

They say the little stone wall he sits on hides a tiny electric Dwarf-Mobile he uses to travel throughout Wrocław and take pictures. They say he loves the City and loves taking pictures.  Presumably, he has a secret file on his laptop with thousands of best pictures ever taken in Wrocław!

I hope, one day he will publish them.  For now, the few pictures I took of him, are my little keepsake.
