Luminator
In Wrocław, a city in Poland, humans coexist with dwarfs. Polish name for a dwarf is “krasnal”. Luminator, a dwarf who shared light, is my favorite.

Wrocław, a city in Poland, has something special about it. Humans are not the only ones who live there. Little dwarfs have been quietly living among the people for years. They can be found all over the city—on streets, in doorways, beside buildings, and in the most unexpected places. The Polish word for a dwarf is “krasnal,” and among all the little krasnals scattered around the city, Luminator is my favorite.
Luminator has a rather important job. He lives on the premises of a human company called Tauron, which distributes electricity throughout the region. When he first arrived, he launched a very important mission: to make sure all the dwarfs had access to power and light in their homes.
That is how he earned his name—Luminator.
But Luminator was never satisfied with just one mission!
As the years went by, he became fascinated by technology. He got his first laptop and began encouraging the other dwarfs to follow his example. And it seems his efforts worked.
Today, Luminator is no longer the only technologically minded dwarf in Wrocław. There are others with computers, smartphones, and cameras. Rumor has it that these modern dwarfs have formed a secret Techy Dwarfs' Society. Nobody knows exactly where they meet, but some say they even have their own social media. Others whisper that they have recently become very interested in artificial intelligence.
What could they possibly be doing with AI? Nobody knows. But if you happen to notice a dwarf staring very seriously at a tiny laptop, don't assume he is just sitting there doing nothing.
He might be working.
Luminator certainly is.
LUMINATOR - A DWARF WHO SHARED LIGHT
One of his recent hobbies is photography.
They say that the stone wall where he sits hides a tiny electric Dwarf-Mobile. Apparently, when all his other work is done—or perhaps when he needs a break—Luminator uses it to travel around Wrocław and take pictures.
He loves the city, and as I was told, he has a huge drive containing thousands of the best pictures ever taken of Wrocław. I hope that one day he will publish them! Until then, the few pictures I managed to take of him are my own little keepsake.
And perhaps they are proof of something else, too: If you look carefully enough when walking through Wrocław, you might catch a dwarf at work.
Just don't expect him to tell you what he is doing.
